Our portfolio and primary investment theme is focused on two main areas. Firstly, businesses in segments influenced by health, active entertainment and smart cities. Secondly, ventures that directly support companies from the age of the internet, IoT and the modern economy. Our geographic concentration is on the young and dynamic emerging markets of Near Asia, the Middle East and North Africa.
Our thesis is centred on the belief that seismic cultural shifts are occurring in the Middle East and Asia where nations are seeking greater economic autarky and diversity. This is fuelled by young and restless populations that have become more discerning in their tastes, tech-savvy and socially interconnected, and thus demand best-in-class products and services, but that are home-grown, ambitious and forward-looking, like them.
At Autarky, our concentration is on cash positive and accretive businesses with strong branding and technology components providing superior risk-adjusted investment returns.
We develop and invest in our own ideas; building end-to-end concepts, from genesis to execution, to growing our enterprises out; seeking high-impact ventures that integrate and augment national tourism and diversification strategies.
Additionally, we also provide consultancy services providing clients with feasibility and economic impact assessments, concept generation, design and master planning services.
